First of all, thank you for visiting Shrood's official page. An indy-developed social community for Bible readers. So now, who is behind Shrood? Behind Shrood sits a passionate 28 year-old (at the time of writing) software engineer who loves Theology and Technology. The Idea of Shrood began in 2020 during the pandemic, when I was looking for a way to connect with other Bible readers and pick their brains about certain Bible topics. I was also looking for an app that would allow me to organize my highlights and Bible comments in a more efficient way.
While trying existing apps, I realized that, although most of them were quite helpful, none of them fully met my needs. It was then that the idea for Shrood was born. I spent 2020 and 2021 designing and developing the first version which launched in May of 2022 as Bible Scholar App. Soon after launch, I realized that perhaps I had rushed the process, which made me take a step back and work on the second version. In the process of refactoring, I decided that the look and feel of the app was also in need of a better design. After much thought, I resolved to start from zero once again. Thus here I am, sitting a year later with a 90% complete app.
